OWSLA, named after a military caste of rabbits in the legendarily intense 1970s children's fantasy novel Watership Down, also will function as a production company, manned by Skrillex manager Tim Smith, as well as Biz 3 Publicity owner Kathryn Frazier and publicist Clayton Blaha. The label's first releases will be from Bristol, U.K.-based post-dubstep producer Koan Sound, North Carolina electro-house upstart Porter Robinson, D.C.-based singer/songwriter Alvin Risk, and San Francisco progressive-house mavens M Machine (formerly Metropolis)
